Dance Co earned the highest ranking at our district festival today and also received an extra award for Emotional Impact. The entire 4 minute piece was student designed & collaborated with music edits, and rehearsals led by 2 students-- Hannah Reese and Lizzie Turgeon. Go Dance Co!

6:00pm - "The Princess Who Had No Name" - performed by the B7 class
A girl in tattered clothes awakens in a forest with no memory of who she is or how she got there. Desperate for answers, she journeys through the world of fairy tales, meeting beloved characters along the way. But when they discover a royal symbol hidden among her rags, one question sends the kingdom spinning: could she be a lost princess—and if so, which one?

7:30pm - "One Upon a High School" - performed by the B8 class
The Woodsman has had enough of being the character in the background. So when he asks the magic mirror for a chance to be a hero, he’s sent to the wildest place imaginable—a modern high school! Between fairy-tale mix-ups, teenage drama, and a certain girl running for student council, the Woodsman’s got his hands full. Can he fix the mess he’s made before both worlds come crashing down?

It's the best week of the year, the Scholastic Book Fair will be in the library all week! Stop by and take a look. We will also be open during PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES (Thursday from 3:30-6:30), come and help promote literacy in our school.

Earlier this afternoon, there was an accident on I-15 in the Lindon area. Northbound I-15 is currently closed and freeway and arterial roads are all experiencing significant delays. This road closure will impact busing throughout the district. We anticipate delays at multiple schools, including activity buses. All routes will be completed, but it is unknown how long this will take.

Math Munch is a chance for you to chew on some interesting math concepts that you won't get to learn about in class. This Friday, September 12 during Advisory we will explore Mobius Strips, where the Inside is the Outside. Sign up with your math teacher to be requested.

Disc Golf gathering Friday, September 12th, after school. If you are interested in learning about disc golf, or want to throw some discs with others who love the game, come join us Friday after school. Mr. Smith will take some time to share some techniques and information before we try our hand at throwing some discs in back of the school. Friday, September 12th 2:45 - 3:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: As the new school year begins, please be aware that there will be a lot of additional traffic around our school properties, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. This will be particularly noticeable during the first few weeks of school as we welcome students and as families settle into routines. Please be extremely patient, and remember to put the safety of all students first.

Mrs. Nevarez spent the summer enjoying the outdoors and meeting new friends (even the fuzzy kind), but she also took some time to do some professional development, like Physics II and Physics and Technology Integration. She will be part of a two-year research study that will be using technology, such as micro:bits, mini spheros, and 3D Printers, to teach physics in both her science core and elective classes.

This summer, Mrs. Peterson kicked things off by racing in the Utah Valley 10K with her husband and son, achieving a personal record 10K time. Next, she celebrated her birthday by going to Newport Beach and Disneyland. That adventure was followed by favorite family traditions at the Lehi Round Up Rodeo and city celebrations. Mrs. Peterson also spent plenty of time in the great outdoors with several camping trips, including visiting Palisades State Park for paddleboarding and traveling to Scofield and Strawberry Reservoir for additional camping and fishing. In between it all, she stayed busy with high school soccer camp, soccer training sessions, and then tryouts for the fall season.

Check out our summer spotlight for our Girls PE teacher, Mrs. Watson, "We’ve been on the go this summer with camping, rodeos, concerts, baseball games, parades, lots of swimming, and visiting family in Washington. We are having a fun and busy summer as a family of 5, and soaking up all our baby Crew snuggles :)"

Check out Mr. Kohl's summer adventures: "I’ve been dad everyday going on adventures with my wife and daughter. Lots of reading, dancing, and watching sports. Gwen’s favorites are MLB, WNBA, NBA, and any soccer. We go to the aquarium on a regular basis and even to one picnic. Nothing too exciting but fun."

Our summer spotlight today is our drama teacher, Mrs. Smith.
Mrs. Smith is filling the summer with lots of theater! (No surprise.) She is directing "Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the Musical" at the Hale Centre Theater. The best part? She got to meet Jeff Kinney, author of the Wimpy Kid series, and host a Zoom call with him and the cast/crew.
Mrs. Smith is also rehearsing for a show that she will perform in this fall at The Ruth called, "Flowers for Mrs. Harris."
