Dear Families,

Today we conducted a scheduled lockdown drill as part of our ongoing safety procedures. Students and staff followed protocols well, and the drill was completed successfully. These drills help ensure we are prepared and know how to respond in an emergency. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school safe.

Lockdown Drill Today
Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are challenging our students to read 1,000,000 minutes at home during the month of February, and we need your support and encouragement.  To celebrate students participating and helping their individual classes and our school reach the goal, we have planned a number of exciting events and awards.

If each student reads 30 minutes per day, we will set a new record and reach our MILLION MINUTE goal.

How to participate:
1. Read at home or be read to every day.
2. Track how many minutes each student reads during the week.
3. Submit weekly minutes each Sunday using the QR Code or link: https://tinyurl.com/RiverviewReading.

Bonus Week (Jan 30-Feb01) – Submit by Sunday, Feb 1st
Week 1 (Feb 02-08) - Submit by Sunday, Feb 8th
Week 2 (Feb 09-15) - Submit by Sunday, Feb 15th
Week 3 (Feb 16-23) - Submit by Sunday, Feb 23rd
Week 4 (Feb 24-Mar 1) - Submit by Sunday, March 1st

We hope this exciting event inspires a deeper love of reading in your child and fosters ongoing growth in their literacy journey.

Riverview Pantry
We are having a food drive to help build our school pantry which will be opening in December. Donations will be accepted December 1st–12th.

With these donations, we are building a school pantry that will help our local community. We are doing a competition with Harvest Elementary—the school that has the most items wins!

To help our school out, please count how many items you donate and write it on the bags that you bring in.

Please note we are not able to take homemade, home-canned or expired food. We appreciate all the support of our community!
